About This Pest
Why They're Here
Drain flies breed in the organic film that builds up inside sink and shower drains. They're not a sign of a dirty home — even clean drains develop this buildup over time.
What to Watch For
Small, fuzzy, moth-like flies near sinks, showers, or floor drains. They tend to sit on walls near the drain and are most noticeable in the evening.

Our Natural Approach
Targeted Treatment
We use targeted, least-toxic treatments — botanical and mineral-based as the primary approach — to address the source of the problem, not just the symptoms. Our approach focuses on long-term results, not quick fixes.
Family-Conscious Formulas
Our primary toolkit is botanical and mineral-based, formulated to minimize risk to your family and pets. No synthetic pyrethroid sprays. Products are either EPA 25(b) exempt (essential-oil based) or EPA-registered minimum-risk pesticides (silica gel, borate).
How You Can Help
  • Clean drains regularly with a brush or enzyme-based cleaner.
  • Run water in seldom-used sinks and floor drains to keep traps full.
  • Fix any slow drains that allow organic buildup.
  • Keep bathroom fans running during and after showers to reduce humidity.
Family & Pet Considerations
Our treatments use botanical and mineral-based products to minimize risk to your family — children and pets included. Products are either EPA 25(b) exempt or EPA-registered minimum-risk. If we ever recommend an EPA-registered escalation product, we'll show you the label and explain it before applying.
