Bti Larvicide Dunks
Biological larvicide tablets (Bti) were placed in standing water that cannot be drained — birdbaths, rain barrels, catch basins, and ornamental water features. Bti kills mosquito larvae but is completely safe for fish, birds, pets, and people.
Botanical Perimeter Spray
A plant-oil repellent (cedar or peppermint) was applied to shaded resting areas — under decks, along fence lines, dense shrubs, and around seating areas where adult mosquitoes harbor during the day.
Standing Water Eliminated
We surveyed your property and dumped, drained, or flipped every container holding standing water. This single step eliminates the majority of mosquito breeding on your property.
What to Expect
Noticeable reduction in 7–10 days
As existing adult mosquitoes die off and new larvae are killed by Bti, you should notice significantly fewer mosquitoes in your yard.
Repeat visits every 3–4 weeks
Mosquito control is ongoing throughout the season (May–October). Bti dunks last ~30 days and botanical sprays need refreshing every 7–10 days or after heavy rain.
Not a 100% mosquito-free zone
Our treatment dramatically reduces biting pressure, but mosquitoes can still drift in from neighboring properties. For personal protection during peak hours, we recommend an EPA-registered repellent (picaridin or oil of lemon eucalyptus).
Your Role — The 90% Solution
- Empty all standing water weekly — plant saucers, pet bowls, buckets, toys, tarps, grill covers, and any container that collects rainwater.
- Change birdbath water every 5 days — or leave the Bti dunk in place.
- Keep gutters clean and free-flowing — clogged gutters are a top hidden breeding site.
- Store unused pots, buckets, and wheelbarrows upside down.
- Tighten tarp covers to prevent water pooling on the surface.

Bti is a naturally occurring soil bacterium — not a chemical pesticide. It is approved for organic farming and safe in drinking water. Botanical sprays are plant-derived and safe for children and pets once dry.
